Machine Learning Engineering Intern

About the Role

Cambium Learning Group is seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Intern to support our AI and Data Science team. In this role, you’ll work on innovative projects that directly impact the development of educational technology products. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and data scientists to design, test, and deploy machine learning models used to improve learning outcomes for students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test machine learning models using Python and related libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)

• Clean, analyze, and visualize large educational datasets

• Contribute to research, experiments, and performance evaluations of machine learning solutions

• Work with engineers to integrate ML solutions into production systems

• Document processes, methodologies, and findings

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience programming in Python

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or project experience working with machine learning or AI applications

• Exposure to cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
