Cari Network is building a blockchain-based payment system for real-time, 24/7 digital money movement between traditional finance and digital assets.
As a Lead Smart Contract Engineer, you will architect and implement secure, scalable smart contracts on ZK Sync to power tokenized payments and settlements.
You’ll report directly to the CTO and collaborate across internal teams and banking partners. This role involves designing from scratch and owning the full smart contract development lifecycle, from architecture to security.
**To Note: This is for an immediate project need. Candidates should be readily available to onboard, if selected.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop smart contracts from scratch for payments, tokenization, and settlement on ZK Sync.
- Write production-ready Solidity code for core financial and wallet contracts.
- Implement rigorous security practices including formal verification and invariant testing.
- Use Foundry for comprehensive unit, fuzz, and invariant testing.
- Develop TypeScript/Node.js services for smart contract integration with backend systems.
- Optimize contract design for gas efficiency and ZK-specific performance.
- Define standards for documentation, test coverage, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance while preserving decentralization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of smart contract development experience, deep Solidity/EVM expertise.
- Production experience with high-value contracts (>$10M TVL).
- Deep knowledge of smart contract security, vulnerabilities, and attack mitigation.
- Proficiency with Foundry testing tools.
- Understanding of ZK rollups, especially ZK Sync.
- Experience with WebSocket/webhook-based real-time systems.
- Familiarity with DeFi protocols and token standards (ERC-20, 721, 4626).
- Ability to work independently and lead technical decisions.
- Knowledge of formal verification and smart contract audit processes.
