What We’re Looking For

We are seeking sports-savvy writers who are well-versed in various sports, including NFL/College Football, NBA/WNBA, and MLB. As a writer for our new vertical, you will be responsible for creating timely, trend-driven news articles, celebrity-style reporting on athletes, and short-form stories with viral potential.

Responsibilities

– Write trending news and short-form stories
– Track emerging storylines across sports, athlete culture, and social media
– Submit clean, publish-ready copy on deadline
– Collaborate with editors to ensure content quality and discoverability

Qualifications

– Strong knowledge of major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, etc.)
– Experience in news writing and creating clickable stories
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, trend-focused environment
– Fluent in English with excellent grammar
– Familiarity with SEO, WordPress, Trello, and Google Trends (a plus)

Pay Expectations

– U.S. writers: Paid freelance rates
– International writers: Hired on an hourly contract
– Opportunity to transition into a full-time position
