Position Overview

At Battle Road, we’re applying state-of-the-art innovations and experience from the video game industry to build the future of simulations, modeling, and operations with AtomEngine – our proprietary cloud-based game engine that’s making the world playable. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an engineer that can operate across different areas of the platform and provide mentorship and best practices to the rest of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of complex, multi-project programs for government customers using AtomEngine.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Battle Road Digital, customer stakeholders, and external partners.
- Deeply understand customer goals, workflows, and success criteria—and advocate for them throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate product deliverables against customer objectives to ensure features meet or exceed expectations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in program management, with at least 2 years managing government contracts or government-facing programs.
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes, reporting requirements, and customer expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex customer goals into actionable technical work items (e.g., epics and user stories).
- Experience evaluating technical deliverables to ensure they align with user needs and intended outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-partner programs with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with simulation, modeling, defense, or game-based technologies.
- Familiarity with government acquisition processes and contracting mechanisms (e.g., IDIQ, OTA, ODC).
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Background in software delivery, cloud technologies, simulation & modeling, or high-performance computing environments.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
Physical Work Requirements
- You can sit, operate a computer, and a phone for extended periods.
- Work is primarily performed indoors.
