At Battle Road, we’re applying state-of-the-art innovations and experience from the video game industry to build the future of simulations, modeling, and operations with AtomEngine – our proprietary cloud-based game engine that’s making the world playable. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an engineer that can operate across different areas of the platform and provide mentorship and best practices to the rest of the team.
Position Summary
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you’ll join a team of experienced game developers building AtomEngine, our scalable cloud-based simulation and modeling platform. In this role you’ll work closely with the whole AtomEngine engineering team, helping with the hardest problems, and providing guidance and technical leadership to the whole team.
Key Responsibilities
– Gather requirements (functional and technical) from various stake holders and create architectural plans for large systems or combinations of systems.
– Build large complex (and reusable) systems and tools.
– Lead efforts in improving performance across many large connected systems.
– Evangelize and drive adoption of engineering best practices across the team.
– Be an advocate for the technology as the base layer providing a great customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
– 7+ years software engineering experience
– Familiarity with popular game engines (Godot, Unity, Unreal)
– A history of shipping games working across subject areas
