Job Description
Are you a talented designer with a passion for creating tools that empower others to build? Battle Road is seeking a Tools Designer to lead the design of authoring workflows at the intersection of game design, UX, and systems thinking. If you have experience in systems design, UX, or tools design for games and are proficient in visual scripting systems, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
– Design end-user tools for visual creation and modification of simulation content
– Collaborate with engineers to bring your tools to life within the editor
– Develop UX principles for a diverse range of users
– Contribute to the long-term vision of AtomEngine
– Gather feedback and iterate on tools post-launch
Qualifications
– 4+ years experience in systems design, UX, or tools design for games
– Strong understanding of game development workflows and visual scripting systems
– Comfortable working closely with engineers and producing clear design documentation
– Empathy for non-technical users and a willingness to learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
– Located in the Washington D.C. or Orlando, FL area
– Experience with simulation, modeling, defense, or game-based technologies
– Active or previously held security clearance is a plus
