Position Summary:

The Insurance Billing Order Entry Specialist I plays a crucial role in maintaining a database by entering new and updated patient insurance information. This position involves researching patient insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure accuracy in content, spelling, and insurance information.

Job Responsibilities:

– Verify patient insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures are covered.
– Enter data accurately, including patient benefit information in multiple systems.
– Prepare source data for computer entry and establish entry priorities.
– Process patient and insurance source documents, resolving discrepancies.
– Verify entered customer and insurance data for accuracy.
– Maintain customer confidentiality and protect operations.
– Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

– High School Diploma or GED.
– 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the Healthcare Industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Proficient in alpha/numeric data entry.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general Internet use for business.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
– Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

– Requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
– May require working outside normal hours on an as-needed basis.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $16.43-$20.54/hr, with actual compensation based on various factors unique to each candidate.
