Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress developer and virtual assistant to build a professional, custom online course website from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an expert in the WordPress ecosystem, specifically with Learning Management System (LMS) plugins, and can create a secure, user-friendly, and scalable platform. You will be responsible for the entire technical lifecycle, from initial build to launch and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
– Website Development: Build a fully functional e-learning website on WordPress.
– LMS Implementation: Install, configure, and customize a leading WordPress LMS plugin (e.g., LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS).
– Theme & Design: Implement and customize a responsive WordPress theme to create a professional and branded look.
– E-commerce Integration: Set up and integrate payment gateways to handle course sales, subscriptions, and memberships.
– Course Population: Upload and structure all course content.
– Technical Management: Handle all technical aspects, including website security, performance optimization, regular backups, and plugin/theme updates.
– Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing website management and address any technical issues post-launch.
Required Skills & Experience
– Proven experience building custom online course websites using WordPress.
– Portfolio Required: Provide links to at least 2-3 live WordPress-based course websites you have personally built.
– Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in WordPress, LMS plugins, page builders, and e-commerce integration.
– Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
– Communication: Excellent English communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
